Building Consent Pre-Lodgement Review
Prepare clearer, consent-ready information before submission
NZBTC provides independent pre-lodgement review for architects, designers, developers, builders, project managers and appropriate property owners.
We review the information intended to support a building consent application, identify gaps or areas requiring clarification, and help applicants present a more complete and coordinated submission to the responsible authority.
What a pre-lodgement review can help with
Application completeness and document coordination
Clarity of plans, specifications and supporting information
Potential information gaps before submission
Consent readiness and a clearer pathway into the authority’s process
Independent applicant-side support
NZBTC does not grant the building consent. We help applicants prepare better information for the authority that does.
A Pre-Lodgement Review is commissioned by the applicant before submission. It is separate from BCA vetting, which forms part of the authority’s receiving and application process. A review is not pre-approval and does not predetermine the authority’s decision.
